Connecting Australia Through Debating

John XXIII Debating

Greetings! In the early 21st century, a group of 70 like minded, driven, senior students across Australia gathered together at ANU for the National Mathematics Summer School. Out of those 70, 9 of them had something that they all had in common: debating. That small group of 9 students was us.

We yearned to provide a genuine debating opportunity in which any student in any school in Australia could participate, no matter year group, gender, race or previous debating experience. We wanted to nurture a inclusive environment where we could plant the seed that would sprout into a bright flower, for students in both junior and senior years. We desired to provide an experience where students would not be deterred by their geographical location, and could participate no matter how little time they would have had: free of charge. In short, we truly care about YOU.
